Leading Lady in Security Sector Partners with Porsche driver Lydia Walmsley
Julie is the Founder and CEO of B4 Secure Ltd, a company specialising in advanced business intelligence, threat monitoring solutions, and organisational resilience. She is a senior leader within the security industry with over 35 years of experience, including service in the Royal Air Force and law enforcement during which she was awarded a Commissioner’s Highest Commendation for bravery before leaving at the rank of Detective Superintendent. Julie has specialised in intelligence throughout her career and after leaving the Police in 2015 completed a MA in Intelligence and Security Studies.
Julie is dedicated to ensuring the professionalisation of the security industry and is Chair of the Board of Directors for The Security Institute which is the UK’s largest professional membership body for security professionals. She is also a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals and recently, Julie received the ‘Freedom of the City of London’, a tradition steeped in history and a rare accolade recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to London or to public life. She is a committee and advisory group member for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a specialist for security related matters and women in business acting as an advocate for gender equality within business. After a chance meeting at Silverstone in 2023, Julie’s passion for promoting women in male dominated worlds and Lydia’s drive to succeed in one aligned and they can now announce a very exciting partnership forming into the 2025 season.
“This next step into the Porsche Sprint Challenge is a huge one for me”, says Lydia, “but to have the support of Julie and her team is making the step feel a little less daunting.
