Plannr Partners with Lydia Walmsley for Porsche 2025 Programme

Gareth Thompson, CEO of Plannr Technologies, is no stranger to the world of Porsche with an impressive 911 GTS in the garage! However, it’s his work in the financial sector that sets Plannr Technologies and the team away from the rest.

Founded in 2021, Plannr Technologies was the incredible result of a collaboration between around 80 different businesses. As described on the Plannr website, this is a product for the profession, built by the profession. It’s all the functionality you need to run a modern financial advice business with plenty of unique features to drive efficiencies (for example, automation engine, bank-level encryption plus document generation & storage).

Gareth Thompson had spent many years working in this sector, but was continuously hearing feedback that there was a lack of certain functionality required on products which were on the market. With that, Plannr was born and has become everything (and more) that the sector was missing.

Just recently, Plannr was voted as ‘Best in Show’ at this year’s ‘Empowering Advisers Through Technology’ conference. Zoe Bennett, who is Plannr’s Implementation Specialist, delivered a seamless demonstration showcasing the recent releases in the business. This is a huge accolade for the team as advisers attending the event voted Plannr as the best tech firm in their category, thanks to Zoe’s delivery during the event.

A new year brings a new focus to Gareth and his team, as they partner with Lydia Walmsley for a full season in the Porsche Sprint Challenge championship.

Lydia speaks on the new partnership:
“I first spoke to Gareth at the end of last season when he very kindly sponsored me for my final round of the 2024 championship. What he does is so unique and it is great to have an ever-growing and expanding team of businesses that all do very different things. Gareth is a lovely person, and you can tell he has a passion for the British Touring Car Championship and fast cars! It is the perfect match, so I look forward to seeing what this season brings.”

The season begins at Donington Park on the 26th and 27th of April before heading to Plannr’s home track (Brands Hatch) a fortnight later. Watch out for the Plannr logo on the bonnet of the #82 machine!
